What is the Builder Score?
It's not just a number; it's a reflection of your impact as a builder. The score is calculated automatically by analyzing the completeness of your profile, the content you share, and how you interact with other members of the community.
How do you earn points?
The system rewards three fundamental pillars:
1. Complete Profile (Base)
Having a profile photo, a clear name, and a tagline of more than 10 characters gives you your first 100 points. It's the bare minimum for other builders to take you seriously.
2. Content Quality
The blocks you add carry different weights:
- Projects (Project blocks): The first 3 projects you upload give you 75 points each. It's the best way to start.
- Building: Sharing what you're building today adds 30 points.
- GitHub: Connecting your GitHub account is a big boost — it gives you 150 points instantly!
- Diversity: If you have at least one Project block, one Building block, and one Writing block, you get a 100-point bonus for being a well-rounded builder.
3. Social Impact and Interaction
huevsite is a network of builders. That's why we reward reciprocity:
- Endorsements: Each endorsement you receive from others adds 25 points.
- Nominations: If someone nominates you for "Builder of the Week", you add 15 points.
- Followers: Each new follower is worth 10 points.
- Giving love: You also earn points for endorsing others and nominating them. The community grows together!
4. Visibility Bonus
If your profile gets unique visits in the last 30 days, the system detects it and rewards you with up to 200 extra points. It's time to share that link!
