A serious product doesn't just let you in easily. It also lets you leave clearly.
That's why we added a function that was needed: you can now delete your account from the dashboard, without relying on support.
What this deletion includes
The action is designed as a real deletion of the account and associated content. The flow covers:
- user access
- profile
- sub-sites
- blocks
- activity
- uploaded assets
If you also had a custom domain connected, the system removes that association too before closing everything down.
Manual confirmation to avoid accidents
Since it's an irreversible action, a red button isn't enough.
We implemented an explicit confirmation where you have to type an exact phrase before moving forward. That adds a healthy pause and prevents accidental deletions, impulsive clicks, or confusion inside the dashboard.
More autonomy, fewer unnecessary tickets
This feature isn't here to push anyone to leave. It's here to make the product more honest.
Giving real control also means:
- not hiding the exit
- not forcing you to talk to someone
- not leaving data hanging because of a manual process
In small products, this kind of thing tends to get postponed. We prefer to solve it early.
A detail that also builds trust
Having a clear deletion option improves the overall perception of the product, even if you never use it.
Because it conveys something simple:
your account is yours, and so is your decision.
Now go buildeRRR!
