That's why we added a simple but powerful improvement: now you can check and claim your username before diving into onboarding.
What changes
Instead of making you sign up, navigate, think, and only then find out that the name you wanted was already taken, the flow now works in reverse:
- You type your ideal username.
- huevsite tells you if it's free.
- If it's available, we carry it pre-loaded into setup.
It's a small change in the interface, but a huge one in intent. When someone already sees huevsite.io/their-name in front of them, they stop imagining the product and start picturing themselves inside it.
Less friction, more action
This kind of early decision improves two things:
- Lowers bounce: instead of scrolling an endless landing page, the user interacts with something concrete.
- Raises commitment: anyone who already picked a username is one step closer to publishing.
And if the name was already snatched up, we now also suggest variants so the momentum doesn't break.
