Until now a project on your huevsite was a still photo: you loaded it and that was it. But projects have a life —they start as an idea, you build them, you launch them. So we gave them a real lifecycle and their own tab to manage them.
Idea → Building → Launched
Every project block now has a status:
- Idea: something you want to make.
- Building: you're shipping it. You can set a launch date and your profile shows the countdown ("Launches in 5 days").
- Launched: it's out. Only then does the "live" dot light up on your board.
Before, every project said "LIVE" even if it wasn't done. Now the status is real, and it shows.
The Projects tab
In your dashboard we added a Projects tab: your projects grouped by status, with a dropdown to change it on the spot. If a "building" project is already past its launch date, a "Mark launched" button appears so it doesn't stay stuck.
You can also archive a project: it's hidden from your public profile but you still see and manage it from the dashboard. Perfect for something you paused and don't want to delete.
Add a project by pasting its URL
Loading a project by hand is tedious: name, description, image... Now there's a shortcut. You tap "Add project", paste the link, and we read the page's tags (the same ones WhatsApp or X use for the preview) to auto-fill title, description and image. You review, tweak, and you're done.
If the page exposes nothing useful, we still create the project with the link set, so you don't lose the work. And if you'd rather load it by hand, that path is still there.
And when you're ready, launch it
The Projects tab is also where you launch from. You have two buttons, complementary:
- Launch on huevsite: enters the weekly community feed (the new Builders Hunt).
- Launch on Launchy: pushes your project to 33 external directories at once. As it starts going live on each one, the number comes back to your huevsite on its own and shows as social proof on the block ("🚀 Launched in 12 directories").
You paste the data once, and from there you move it everywhere.
Head to your dashboard, open Projects, and put a status on what you're building.
