The leaderboard already ranked by builder score, followers, nominations and endorsements. It was missing the most concrete thing of all: who's actually coding. Now it's here.
The commits tab
We added a new tab, Commits ⚡, next to the others. It ranks builders by commit count, with two views:
- Year: your volume over the last 12 months.
- Month: what you're committing this month, to see who's crushing it right now.
The numbers come from the real GitHub data your block already pulls —the same as the heatmap— so there's nothing to load by hand. If your GitHub is connected, you're already in the table.
Why a commits ranking
A score ranking measures how complete and active your profile is. A commits one measures something else: consistency. It doesn't reward whoever has the prettiest portfolio, but whoever shows up every day to build. Both coexist, and the commits one is the most honest for the people who live in the terminal.
It's not about inflating egos: it's context. Seeing other builders shipping code gives you a real benchmark of where you stand and, hopefully, a little healthy envy to open your editor.
