Starting a profile from scratch can be a drag. You have to think up the name, rebuild your links, rewrite the bio, and on top of that decide what to show first.
That's why we added a strong improvement to onboarding: you can now import your Linktree or Bio Site and use that real data to build your huevsite from the start.
What gets imported
When you paste the URL, huevsite reads what's visible and pulls in:
- avatar
- name or display name
- bio
- featured links
- thumbnails when they exist
It's not just a copy-paste of links. The system also tries to classify each link to place it better within the board:
- socials
- projects
- writing
- media
- community
That makes your initial profile come out with a lot more intent.
Less manual setup, more real signal
The point isn't to save you 30 seconds. The point is that your profile is born with signals that say something about you.
If you're coming from Linktree or Bio Site, you already have branding, a bio, and a minimal order of priorities. Leaning on that means huevsite doesn't start empty or with fake content.
Instead of inventing blocks just to fill space, you can now start from:
- projects you were already sharing
- channels where you already publish
- communities where you already exist
- a more consistent visual identity
It also improves the board refactor
This logic doesn't only live in onboarding.
There's now also a way to rebuild your main board from Linktree using AI credits, prioritizing:
- name
- tagline
- most important links
That's really useful if your current profile got old, messy, or if you want to rebuild it faster without touching your sub-sites.
Also, the layout no longer depends on picking a template blindly
Another quiet but very useful improvement: onboarding now automatically selects a starting layout so you don't have to stop on interface decisions too early.
First you load your signal. Then you adjust.
That order is much better for publishing fast.
If you already had a Linktree set up, you can now turn it into a huevsite with a lot less friction and a lot more intention.
